TUTC is a St. Louis based theatre company that uses the arts to both share the lives and concerns of various populations as well as to promote active civic engagement around serious contemporary issues including racial and gender inequity, sexual orientation and gender representation, gun sense, immigration reform, disability, climate change, and voting. In our thirty-year history, we have used many strategies and forms to address these issues and populations, including through performance art, devising original work, co-presenting with other organizations, and offering public workshops, all of which usually include facilitated conversation.
