Research Intern

May - August 2020 • Worcester, MA

What I liked

Got the chance to work independently on a project with the help of an advisor located at Sandia. It was a fully remote, which was nice due to Covid. They had lots of activities planned such as webinars, mini classes and tutorials, and social zoom calls to help us (me and the other researchers on other projects) with our research as well as to help us network and get to know each other.

What I wish was different

Obviously I wish that I could have gone in person. Also, it would have been nice to work more collaboratively.

I love everything about my job, assisting students to accommodate their needs to secure their best interest in living away from home. I repair lights, blinds, ceiling and flooring tiles, almost everything in the dorm we try and fix ourselves before calling the plant workers. I enjoy going from dorm to dorm meeting new students and residents and getting to hear their experiences on campus.
