Be willing to absorb a lot of information. This experience was brand new to me so I really had to soak up a lot of information.

I wish we had a specific person in charge of checking people for masks. We didn't have enough training for this and it was very stressful.
Advice
Go into retail jobs with an open mind and kind heart; you may not always be treated with respect, but it's important to consider what might be fueling your guests' behaviors.

I was apprehensive about starting this job because it was unlike any other I had before. However, I took my positive mindset and work ethic into the job and eventually hit my stride with it. My advice is to get out of your comfort zone as soon as you can because it could pay off in a big way. Don't let apprehensiveness keep you from taking a job or doing anything you wish to do.

The online experience was different, however Target made the experience engaging and you could really feel the company culture, even though we never saw each other in person. I appreciated the transparency and the people that I met.

I wish that there would have been a few more opportunities to meet the other interns.

Have fun and do not be afraid to ask for what you want. Target does an amazing job trying to find your passions and what you are interested in.

I wish I had daily tasks to do. I was working on the same project the whole summer and I definitely could have used more to do.
Advice
Try and talk to as many people within the organization as possible. Everyone is super friendly and interested in what you're working on. Gain insight from them and shadow them if possible.
