I like that there are many different aspects that go into managing apartments. you have to learn to manage your time, be on top of problems that might occur or need fixing, learn how to communicate with people, and essentially run a business.

What I wish was different

I wish that I had been more prepared for the workload in the summer, and understanding how things would play out better in the semester. Had more training at first.

It is a good job if you want to learn how to better communicate with people and learn a variety of business skills.

Camp Counselor

What I liked

It is put on annually through my church. So, I enjoyed getting closer in my relationships with all the little kids and my fellow college members from my church, which were also counselors, and just taking a break off but still being able to do something good.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have let go a little bit more, especially being a counselor. It is for the kids not me. I have learned over the years that people around you tend to have more fun, if they have someone have fun with them and the only way to actually fun is to let lose.

Advice

If you ever get a chance to become a camp counselor, DO IT. It literally changes my life every year.

Advice

If you work as an office assistant, be prepared to sit sometimes long hours on somewhat boring (but very important) tasks. I find using headphones to be helpful.

Advice

Take the opportunity to learn everything the company you are interning with has to offer. Even if it is not directly associated with your job title while interning. The more experience you can put on your CV/resume the better! Take full advantage of everything the company has to offer!!
