What I liked

Motiv is probably the best company I’ve ever worked for. They truly value their employees and are making meaningful contributions to the insurance industry.

What I wish was different

This isn’t something I’d necessarily want to be different, but I think I would also like some experience at a larger company to get the different environment.

Advice

Always be willing to do anything and you will learn a lot more!

What I liked

There are so many aspect of this job that I enjoy. I started knowing practically nothing about my responsibilities and how to carry them out. My team members slowly taught me at I was given more responsibilities. It was easy; there was definitely a steep learning curve, the environment was friendly and everyone helped me out when I needed/asked for it. Most of all I enjoy the people with whom I work. They truly care about their work and improving healthcare. Everyone knows each other and we're all friends. It's a fantastic place to work!

What I wish was different

I wish I had a longer summer so I could've worked full-time with them longer. I'm still able to work remotely here in Logan according to my schedule, which is an incredible deal, but I miss the people.

Advice

I would suggest being outgoing. I learned how quickly a problem can be solved once one involves multiple people with varying backgrounds. Not only are solutions find more quickly, but the solution have more value because they are tailored to the needs of multiple types or people, or departments in my case.

What I liked

Close group of coworkers, people who really care about the difference they're making to clients. I liked being able to apply what I've learned in school and find new ways of applying my skills. I feel my confident in the contribution I can make to my future employers.

Advice

Know that you're going to make mistakes and ask dumb questions- don't be too proud to ask for help! Now is the time you're learning, and your coworkers are happy to explain.
