“I really liked being able to work with my local community to help educate them about what a healthy lifestyle looks like. You spend about five months with the same class of students but are specifically mentoring only 4-5 for the term. While with the youth, there are a couple of field trips that you attend with them. One includes going to a dialysis center nearby and hearing from a patient and their experience of needing blood transfusions. ”
