I loved that I got to work directly with the Executive Director of Home of the Sparrow. I had the opportunity to develop a Diversity and Inclusion Within the Workplace training program.

What I liked
I had such a great experience at LGMC. Monday through Thursday I was paired with a local non-profit, Options & Advocacy, where I got to take part in all the departments and some of the behind the scenes of non-profit work. Then on Fridays we had formal leadership training with LGMC where we covered a variety of topics all priming us for leadership positions in the non-profit sector. Each week they would bring in a different professional pertaining to the topic we were focusing on to give us real life exposure to the content we were learning.
What I wish was different
Nothing! Such an awesome experience.
Advice
DO IT! I was uncertain at first and thought it was a little out of my comfort zone, but it was such an amazing opportunity that I wouldn't change for the world!
