I love how this experience is a full year internship with a class. This proves great experience for those going into education.
What I wish was different
I wish that the JTR team were more organized with their expectations of interns as they started. As the year has progressed, the team has become more clear.
Advice
Know that going into an urban school setting will be hard. You’ll see kids in situations you won’t want them in. You’ll only be able to help as much as you can. Do what you can and know that’s enough.
