DWMOC is a grassroots-based operation, meaning that I got the chance to connect and network with many unique and dedicated musicians, business-owners, and other creative souls who've made their work known all throughout the St. Louis area. My employers were fair and communicative, and made me feel like family, which very few jobs have done in the past.
What I wish was different
While not on the fault of the show-runners, I will say that, due to the independent nature of the show, we absolutely had to work with what we had, which was sufficient but at the same time less than ideal. However, I know that there are plans for better equipment/room quality in the future, and have no doubt that it has only improved by the time you're reading this.
Advice
If you're interested in working at some big, fancy, industrial company that leads over a thousand different employees daily, this is not for you. But, if you're interested in getting down to St. Louis's roots, it's culture and the people who shape it, and get in on something close to the ground floor, I highly recommend working for DWMOC.
