Amman Imman empowers and supports Africa’s most vulnerable indigenous peoples and engages students worldwide as socially conscious leaders. Through our Africa-based program, Oases of Life, we establish points of civilization that flourish, beginning with the construction of permanent water sources. Our programs emphasize the role of women and youth as a guiding force for societal stability, optimism, and resilience.
Join us in changing the course for indigenous populations suffering from extreme water scarcity in a remote and underserved region of Niger. We start by building deep boreholes that bring sustainable clean water to formerly nomadic populations that have become sedentary due to the changing climate. Our populations are extremely poor. Once water is available we work with the communities, empowering women, promoting economic development, vocational training, education, food security and more. Currently our focus is on health, and especially health education in the areas of WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), Reproductive Health and Nutrition.
