What I liked
It was an amazing opportunity to travel in a more meaningful way and be exposed the the ever-growing non-profit community in Cambodia and Vietnam. I loved the freedom and trust given to me; this allowed me to dig deep into the research I deemed most applicable to expanding and improving the NGO.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have had more time while at home to research and create a thorough proposal.
Advice
If traveling and seeing other cultures is important to you, take every opportunity to do so in ways that will simultaneously advance your career goals and give you applicable experience.
