What I liked

My boss and her work ethic are both amazing. She is a strong, independent, intelligent woman who is shattering glass ceilings and paving the way for female leadership roles in the workforce. I like that I get to dive into the creative side of Marketing while also practicing and learning the tech side of Marketing. My boss is understanding of my work and school life balance and is very helpful when I need some explanation on a task I'm not familiar with. I know I'll leave Worldly Strategies a confident, intelligent, newly graduated woman who can take on the world of Marketing.

What I liked

- Created the new Worldly Strategies desktop and mobile websites using design tools and HTML coding. - Enhance brand image, brand voice, and social media presence of clients. - Enhanced internal metrics of companies by creating monthly reports. - Gained knowledge using industry tools such as Google Ads, Google SEO, Google Analytics, Canva, Mailchimp, Wideo, and more!

What I wish was different

One aspect that I enjoyed and wish I did more of was meeting with clients. Although it is not always possible, especially now with COVID, getting in front of our clients really made this job feel real. Once I met one of our jewelry clients, I got a better “feel” for who they were and this gave me a better perspective of the type of social media content that they prefer.

Advice

My internship at Worldly Strategies as a Digital Marketing Coordinator has prepared me for my future career within the marketing industry. This internship has also helped me prepare for graduate school as I pursue my MBA. My one piece of advice would be to stay organized and ask plenty of questions. There are a lot of different clients and it can be confusing keeping everything in order. Stay focused, stay organized, and ask any questions along the way to succeed at this internship.
