It has been a great experience. I had to pitch a solution to WJ Partners because they needed software that can easily get business data from brokerages. I got to participate in a meeting with a few of the partners so we could discuss the details. Now I am in the midst of developing this program with a friend and it has been great for learning how to come up software solutions on my own.
What I wish was different
I wish I knew more about how to negotiate contracts because it felt like I was going in blind; however I really have no complaints.
Advice
Take any opportunity you can grab. I just sent an email to one of the partners and next thing I know I have a great job and am getting valuable experience in the field.
