What I liked
I liked the location as i got to see the animals everytime i showed up to work. The hours were very appropriate and the pay was good. I had many resources and a lot of guidance as i was building my research project. Finally, I had the chance to work with 3 amazing high school students and connect with many more.
What I wish was different
I wish I had mpre time to flesh out my research question and finish the research poster.
Advice
Be as open to learning about urban ecology as possible. Take in all the advice in order to change your ecological perspective of New York.

What I liked
I was able to learn more about ecology research firsthand through researching different topics in various sites around New York City. I used the skills that I learned to mentor a group of high school students and create a research project. We were able to present our findings at a symposium at the end of the summer.

Advice
Although the job seemed difficult and overwhelming at first, through the aid of my peers and mentors, I was able to take on all of the responsibilities the job had to offer.
