If you've got no plans for summer and no internships lined up, joining the mow crew with western is an easy income, nice way to get acclimated with the school and other faculty!

What I liked
I liked being able to work with likeable people and uncover dirt from thousands of years ago (literally). It was nice to have a routine and great coworkers.
What I wish was different
I wish the work days were a little shorter, very tiring work.
Advice
I would be prepared for heavy manual labor in any CRM type of work.

My boss was amazing, but I was constantly learning new things. I had to manage myself and complete tasks. I loved the atmosphere and everything I got to learn!

I wish COVID-19 hadn’t ruined the second half of the semester, but the experience was amazing

Get involved with a work study job. Energy Management has nothing to do with my COM Arts degree, but I am so glad I got to learn about a new field!

That everyone should know how to grow and raise their own food. It’s fun and extremely useful, I mean who doesn’t love to eat delicious food!

Amazing staff who are willing to help you learn anything. Lots of opportunities available to anyone who is willing to put in the work to obtain it. Great work environment and always a great experience. I went in knowing nothing and now I feel way more prepared.

If anyone is in the technology field, IT is an amazing way to make yourself stand out. It is a great place to learn anything and everything pertaining to tech!

I had a lot of responsibly as well as freedom. I was able to learn the ins and outs of a large organization’s social media campaigns and marketing strategies by actually posting on various channels and writing student profiles that highlight student outcomes.

I wouldn’t change anything!

Communication is key! You can’t over communicate, especially in a large organization where there are a lot of different branches that work together to make the organization run smoothly.
