Throughout the internship, I was able to shadow and gain insight into almost all areas of medicine. It’s a great opportunity for someone who isn’t sure which area of medicine he/she wants to pursue a career in.

Advice
The majority of the shifts are 12 hours, and there is one 24 hour shift. Be prepared for long days. Also, some of the shifts start at 5 or 6 a.m., so I recommend living close to the hospital.
