I like the autonomy I got with the position. Since I ran the store while the owner was not there, I was able to have a schedule where I could do schoolwork while working. Being in charge of some of the store processes also allowed me to gain leadership skills and think critically.
What I wish was different
I wish the salary was a little bit better but overall, everything was good.
Advice
A piece of advice would be to try to keep track of everything important. With this job comes a lot of moving parts and this position is called upon to maintain those parts. For example, it is important to remember conversations with customers because they may be brought up later. I would also recommend always finding something to do. Like I said, a lot goes on so there always something that can be done to improve the operation of the store.
