What I wish was different
I wish I was able to get more hands on experience in trail work prior to my first trip, but after each trip I gained far more experience than I thought I would!
Advice
WTA is a truly amazing organization that I wish I had known more about when I was in high school. It was one of my dream jobs that I worked hard to get and it was one of the best summers I've had in a while. Doing meaningful work, protecting hiking trails and national parks, and connecting with young adults were exactly what I was looking for in a job after college.
