I liked being a part of WSU Athletics and seeing how my work made a contribution to overall ticket sales and Cougar Athletic Fund donations. As a goal-oriented person, this job was rewarding and exciting.
What I wish was different
Summer is the "off season" for the Ticket Office, so there were often lulls in the action and a lot of down time.
Advice
If you don't have great customer service skills, this is not the place to work! You are constantly interacting with customers over the phone and in-person.

What I liked
My favorite part was working behind the scenes with WSU Athletics and working closely with those in charge of the WSU Athletics Marketing Department and getting to know them closer.
What I wish was different
On some occasions, I did not have as much work to do as I would have liked.
Advice
If you are interested in sports marketing, I would apply to be a marketing and promotions intern with WSU athletics. You can make great connections and get quality experience working with sports
