What I wish was different
I wish we could have better management and that Walmart would actually care about it's employees.
Advice
If you need the money to pay your bills, Walmart is a steady job that guarantees a paycheck. But, if you can't handle a fast pace and high demand work environment that requires medium level physical labor, then don't apply.

What I liked
Walmart has a Educational Time Off (ETO) program that allows employees with good standing to remain employed while taking extended breaks away from work to attend any school activities. While taking time away from actively working at Walmart, an employee on ETO can retain their benefits, keep their seniority, and continue to earn regularly scheduled pay raises.
What I wish was different
I should have either taken more overtime or cut my hours. Walmart management has a tendency to take advantage of part-time associates by scheduling them full time (40 hours) without providing the company's additional full-time benefits.
Advice
Take advantage of the Educational Time Off program at Walmart by working between semesters.
