What I liked
You make your own hours and get to meet amazing dogs and connect with great owners. You can do this job from almost any city US city.
What I wish was different
You aren’t able to see any qualities of the dog before walking it, which can be problematic. And you have to set aside a lot of time, because you need to be available to walk dogs but you don’t know when they will need walks.
Advice
Don’t set your location too far, so that you have clients closer to you.

You never know what you are getting into when you accept a walk. It would be nice to have a star rating system for the dog or something so walkers can accept walks according to their ability.

It can be difficult to get walks if you do not immediately apply for them. There are a lot of walkers in the area for a limited amount of dogs.

Wag Dog Walker
May - August 2018 • New York City, NY
What I liked
I absolutely loved it! A great way to exercise, be outside, explore neighborhoods, play with dogs, and make extra cash! I'm looking forward to doing more walks for Wag over other vacations from school.
What I wish was different
The app had a few glitches, which made for some inconveniences when trying to schedule walks. I also wish I could get a better idea of exactly how the app works for the customer, since I can only see it from the point of view of the walker app.
Advice
I personally preferred to walk smaller dogs, just because there's less of a risk of them being unmanageable. While both big dogs and small dogs can be easy or hard to walk (it really depends on the individual dog), a small dog that's hard to manage is nothing compared to a big dog that's hard to manage. Also, it was very helpful to read previous walkers' comments about a dog before actually going to walk him/her!
