About UW-La Crosse Academic Advising Center & Career Services

UW-La Crosse Academic Advising Center & Career Services is located at 1209 Centennial Hall (1st floor.) Our office also houses the Pre-Health Student Resource Center which provides specialized academic and career assistance for pre-health students.

Our services are available to all UWL students and include assistance in choosing classes, determining a major, developing resumes, preparing for interviews, connecting with potential employers for internships and jobs, and getting registered for internship credit.

We typically hire students in the spring for the following academic year. Our student staff consists of Peer Advisors, Graduate Assistants, a Data & Assessment Intern, a Career Services Intern-Multicultural Focus, an Event Planning Intern, and Front Desk Assistants.

The Academic Advising Center & Career Services is a team of educators who advise, encourage, challenge, and support students in their academic planning and career development. We are committed to continuous improvement and innovation in services and programming. We seek to empower students to pursue the knowledge and experience necessary to make informed academic and career decisions congruent with their values and identity, leading to success at UWL and beyond.
