Financial Auditor Intern

May - August 2019 • Salt Lake City, UT

What I liked

The people I worked with were great and they had very flexible hours.

What I wish was different

There was a lot of miscommunication in the beginning between people in charge of what I should be doing which lead to a lot of down time.

Advice

This was an excellent experience and I would recommend it to anyone not wanting to go into the big 4.

Special Projects Intern

January - April 2019 • Salt Lake City, UT

What I liked

I loved my intern experience with the special projects group. The work was diverse and interesting - I felt like I got to learn about about a whole array of topics in a short period of time, especially local government compliance to state regulations. My coworkers were wonderful - they treated me like a part of the team rather than just an intern. The job felt like a cross between being a forensic accountant and a lawyer. It's a great fit for those who are detail-oriented but also enjoy communicating with others. The state capitol complex was a lovely place to show up to work each day. I was so grateful to have this opportunity!
