I love being able to learn invertebrate taxonomy, do outreach, and participate in research.

Nothing, I absolutely love it.

There is about a 3-month learning curve but after that things usually click.

I like the flexibility this job provides to still attend classes here on campus. It is great to leave for a class and come back without having to leave the campus at all!

What I liked
I got paid to travel and camp all over Utah for an entire summer.
What I wish was different
I ended up with a partner that I didn't really get along with, which can be difficult when you're spending up to a full week with just that one person in isolation.
Advice
I would just heavily advise towards taking any opportunity like this if it becomes available. This was great for me this summer.
