Advice
If you do Upwork, you have to write a lot of proposals and communicate professionally otherwise no one will use you as their freelancer.

I get to make my own schedule, so I'm able to plan my days myself. I can also work from anywhere, which is great for summer or winter breaks.
What I wish was different
I wish there were more opportunities for positions that I was strongly interested in. Instead, I found myself writing about mundane topics.
Advice
Upwork is great, and it's an easy way to find clients to work for. Start off with an entrance job and work up to the expert positions to build your profile.
