What I liked
I had the opportunity to work as an independent scientist, conducting my own research
What I wish was different
I wish it had been a bit longer. I also wish we had been able to conduct meetings about the project before I went so that I did not have to waste a whole week doing research.
Advice
If you have an opportunity to travel for an internship, take it. It might not be to an ideal location but you will learn a ton and get a lot of new experiences

I was able to learn a lot of new lab techniques. I was also able to work independently on my portion of the project.
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to do more in the 6 weeks.
Advice
Even if the location isn't ideal, travel for internships. You will learn a lot.
