What I liked
I like how it was really easy to apply to the job since I had the required information on my handshake profile.
What I wish was different
I wish that I was able to make a resume based on my handshake profile so that I wouldn’t have to input the information twice.
Advice
I would suggest that you highly reach out to the employer when you apply for a job because then they’ll know that you really want it and could help in the hiring process.

What I liked
This experience helped me learn more about research. I also was able to network and meet other students as well as work together with faculty at UIC and other universities. It was a great opportunity.
What I wish was different
I wish that the program was longer! It was pretty short and a lot of it was fast paced, but it was still really fun and engaging.
Advice
I suggest that you apply! There's literally no cons to being an undergraduate research assistant. If you are looking to go to grad school, this would look great on applications.

What I liked
I really enjoyed connecting new students with resources that best fit them in starting their college journey. I loved being able to develop my leadership skills and apply what I've learned at my institution in the real world
What I wish was different
I wish we had more opportunities to facilitate orientation in a way that wasn't so compact. A lot of students weren't very focused on completing orientation because they were in front of their computer screens for hours on end.
Advice
One piece of advice I would share about this experience would be not to be hard on yourself if you can't answer everyone's questions.
