College students and recent graduates are eligible to apply for Senator Gardner’s Internship Program today!
Students have the opportunity to work in one of Senator Gardner’s eight state offices. Students also have the opportunity to work in Senator Gardner’s Washington, DC office. Whether you want to move across the country or stay close to home, an internship with Senator Gardner can be made to fit exactly what you are looking for.
Interns in Colorado will see how the federal government interacts with local communities and how the work done in a Congressional office helps real Coloradans with real issues.
Interns in Washington, DC will have the opportunity to build a robust understanding of the Senate’s role in government by conducting policy research, attending hearings, writing legislative reports, and responding to constituent inquiries.
Additional duties include answering the phone, greeting guests, and, in Washington, giving Capitol tours.
Internships are available in the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.
Students of every major are encouraged to apply. A great Congressional staffer doesn’t have to hold a degree in political science.
Colorado ties are strongly preferred.
