Software Engineering Intern

What I liked

I had a very welcoming team that eased me into working with them, and were always willing to help when I was stuck on a task. Even people I did not work with directly were very friendly and welcoming. It was a great environment.

What I wish was different

I wish the opportunity was closer to my friends and family, but at the same time I wish I had more time there.

Advice

Don't be afraid to reach out to company's and apply, even if they are not advertising an internship at the moment.

What I liked

Great company with fantastic leadership. They have a “big idea project” where you present in front of management. They have volunteering opportunities for the interns, networking events, and a positive culture. They push you to your limits but will help you along the way. Working at U.S. Venture was an amazing opportunity.

What I wish was different

Don’t be afraid to ask questions when you’re unsure of something.

Advice

Participate in every event you can. Get to know your fellow interns. Make the most of your experience, it will fly by.
