The lab gave you a lot of opportunity to test your practical knowledge in a real world design. The head of the lab gave the interns a lot of freedom to work on given projects as well as explore each unique job through out the lab.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have begun the internship as a freshman thus having more time to learn and develop my knowledge of engineering from those that work there. I also wish I would have decided what was going to be my focus and pursued it more through my time there.
Advice
Go into the job focused and ready to learn from your peers.
