What I liked

The productivity that the office holds. The family dynamic and small office atmosphere. They allow you to express yourself creativity and give a lot of resources for financial wellness.

What I wish was different

Working along side a peer or partner or a bigger marketing team. (No complaints though)

Advice

Be straightforward about your progress on projects. Don’t be afraid to speak up and show your creativity. Ask questions! They are willing to help with any advice you have.

Finance Intern

What I liked

I love the support system at Treece. I work remotely, but everyone still checks in on me daily. Balancing work at Treece and completing my school work/extracurriculars has been pretty easy because everyone is very accommodating. I also really enjoy the work that I am doing because I am able to communicate with clients regarding paperwork and scheduling meetings. I am always pushed to try new types of tasks, and I am constantly learning something new.

What I wish was different

I can't think of anything that I would change with this internship.

Advice

I would advise future interns to ask as many questions as needed. Everyone is there to help you, and it is much better to complete a task correctly than guess how to do it and end up doing it wrong.

Video Production Intern

What I liked

The office culture is beyond supporting and cooperative. They were patient to teach me the ropes of the position and guide me to achieving my potential. Also, very productive and organized management which I liked a lot!

What I wish was different

Hard to say, since my most of my experience relied on art and video production, I certainly had difficulty grasping some financial terms and systems. However like I said, the team is incredibly supportive and will help you in whatever way you need.

Advice

Connect with everyone the team! The whole Treece Financial team is made up of incredibly smart and caring individuals who will accept anyone on their team regardless of identity and origin. You will feel welcomed!

What I liked

I truly enjoyed my time interning at Treece Financial. Everyone went out of their way to help me with tasks, explain financial concepts and answer any questions I had. I was exposed to many aspects of the financial advising and planning industry and was further able to explore aspects I was interested in.

What I wish was different

I could not have asked for a better experience!

Advice

One piece of advice I would share is to ask questions. The team is always willing to help and give advice. This internship really is what you make of it so ask questions and don't be afraid to reach out for help!

What I liked

I really enjoyed working here because I got to learn about various applications used in the real world. It gave me great insight to how working in the finance field would be like in the future. David, Robert, and Harshita are great mentors and colleagues. They are very approachable people and it is never too awkward to ask them questions. They always find a way to help you, work on tasks with you, or guide you to the right steps.

I think anyone coming in should be open to learning. It may seem overwhelming with the amount of new things you are learning, but over time, you get used to it and it feels more comfortable.

What I liked

Working at Treece Financial Group, I had the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. I was able to adopt skills that I can use in future careers. I love the fact that it is easy to communicate to management of any issues and feedback about your role. I also enjoy the company flexibility especially with my school schedule. While at the company I even had the opportunity to learn how the financial industry works. I really appreciate the amount of support, I was given along the way. I would definitely recommend Treece Financial as a fine place to work.
