I loved being emerged in the rain forest away from civilization. There were so many different beautiful birds I was able to band. The learning process was quick leading to hands on work within a couple days.
What I wish was different
After returning home, I wish I had stayed longer than a month. My skills were improving quickly and I believe I could have learned so much more.
Advice
I would advice people to definitely practice your Spanish before going, because you won't always be with someone that speaks English.
