This was definitely a new experience for me as i had never worked with children with special needs before. But i enjoyed leaning new strategies and techniques within ABA/ Applied Behavior Analysis. I also enjoyed getting to build relationships with the kids and getting to play and have fun with them. Additionally, I enjoyed getting to know my colleagues as we shared similar experiences and interests but most of all they were able to help me and give me advice whenever i needed it. It is definitely a great place to work!
What I wish was different
Advice
The only advice i would give in regards to this experience is to remember that all children are unique. Although some children may have similar characteristics, they all have different personalities, tastes, preferences and perspectives. This is what makes working with children so fun as it keeps you on your toes. It is also exciting to get to know each individual piece that makes up a child and helps you understand their world allot better.
