It was great experience working for a large scale manufacturing corporation. I was given a large amount of responsibility throughout my time there and was taught a tremendous amount about lean manufacturing through the experience of other engineers and supervisors.
What I wish was different
The company has a very erratic production schedule, meaning that in a manufacturing setting hours varied from 40-60+ hours per week. Working with upper management and IT was also tough as the company is headquartered on the East Coast.
Advice
Make your goals clear to your supervisor as early as possible. If you want to be working on the manufacturing floor more and the office less, request it because the managers are very accommodating and want you to have a good experience.

What I liked
It was a great experience in the field that I want to work in and I was given a lot of space to learn and complete projects.
What I wish was different
At times I didn’t have enough work or I was given an assignment that was a repetitive and weeks long task woth little to brake it up.
Advice
Ask for more work if you can handle it and jump into conversations.
