I was exposed to the complete engineering process that translates ideas into models and then into prototypes. I also gained a lot of hands on experience from constructing metal structures by mig and tig welding.

It is imperative that you get real building experience before you graduate college. Getting your hands dirty teaches you things that no college classroom could.
