The mission of Tanglewood Nature Center is to lead and support education and preservation efforts in our region to achieve a heightened awareness, understanding, enjoyment, and caring for our natural environment.
We strive to fulfill our mission every day by: maintaining over ten miles of trails, offering educational programming for children and adults, providing homes in our exhibits for more than 40 native and exotic animals, and welcoming over 35,000 visitors a year.
Tanglewood is a proud partner in the Garden of Fire, a project whose purpose is to build capacity, depth, and the integration of art and science for programs serving at-risk youth in Steuben County. To learn more, visit the Garden of Fire blog.
