Summer Camp Instructor

July - August 2019 • Utica, NY

What I liked

Was able to teach kids ages K-12 about science, robotics, math, and even 3D printing. Also go to create the curriculum and day by day schedule for some of the camps I taught. I also worked along side some of my friends which was fun.

What I wish was different

I wish some of the camps were longer, once we got the kids going the day was almost over for a few of the camps. Some of the camps could have also benefited form another instructor or teaching assistant.

Advice

Keep the kids focused as much as possible and they will amaze you with their creative ideas.

Data Analyst

May - August 2019 • Utica, NY

What I liked

The Hours were flexible as long as I did work, wasn't too bad and I learned some new techniques as I went along with some coding! Worked a lot with MAT-LAB and EEGLAB.

Advice

Try to have a supervisor with somewhat flexible hours, as data analyzing can be tedious at times. Very nice experience for those who are meticulous and like code work. A lot of times, work doesn't expect you to know everything, you learn as you go. As long as you can help and have interest in growing, don't be afraid of not knowing everything!
