I enjoyed getting to know the participant and her family. She had the most adorable little girl.
What I wish was different
I wish it had gone more smoothly. Her social worker was not doing his duties and her paperwork was misplaced and was not fully sent to her. However, I was not going to leave her hanging so while that was getting fixed, I still helped out despite the no pay.
Advice
I would recommend making sure that the individual that you are helping out is not someone you know. While it may be beneficial in some ways, it makes it a little bit more hard than if it was someone who did not know you prior.

What I liked
I like the atmosphere of where I worked. The work environment was very friendly and the people I worked with were very helpful when it came to asking questions and training. They were also very flexible with scheduling as I worked another job at the time.
What I wish was different
Being paid would have been nice but it was only a part-time internship.
Advice
Be ready to learn many useful skills and don't be afraid to ask for help.
