What I liked

**THIS IS A JOB AT THE WHITETAIL CLUB, ASSOCIATED WITH THE SHORE LODGE** I really liked the freedom of the job and the environment in which it was conducted. McCall, Idaho made the experience exceedingly rewarding and enjoyable. The job had many different duties, that brought me all around the property and allowed me to gain basic understandings of the different departments and operations at a private club, like the Whitetail Club.

What I wish was different

I wish that there had been more opportunities to interact with the members directly, as I felt that was component that sometimes was missing, or something I didn't want to force as I was present with members. In the settings, it often felt strange or impolite to directly interact with members unless I had already interacted with them before.

Advice

Offer to help in doing anything and everything because it will give you more opportunities to explore different departments and areas of the property. The Managers also really appreciate your willingness to help out, where you can quickly gain an extremely positive and dependable reputation.

What I liked

Worked on the lake in a prime location in the mountains of Idaho. Getting to drive multiple hundreds of thousand dollar boats and show people the time of their life. Meeting wealthy clients, taking care of them, connecting with them, and building those relationships. Sunrise and Sunsets on the lake. Very friendly and upbeat atmosphere. High energy. Mutual respect of the land.

What I wish was different

Everything was perfect. Even with Covid. So blessed to have worked there. Such an amazing experience.

Advice

Take it all in. If you're not smiling you're doing it wrong.

What I liked

I loved being able to live in McCall on the lake. I also really liked working with kids through out the summer because I want to work with kids when I am older.
