Working a part-time job during college has been one of the best decisions I've made. I have extra spending money, and I'm able to apply it towards college tuition.

What I liked

I liked how QuikTrip offered me a summer job that helped me learn how to manage my time more effectively. Everyday we were pushed to do the tasks around the store as quickly and efficiently as we could. This transitioned into my everyday life and allowed me to see where I’m wasting time.

What I wish was different

Personally, I wish I could’ve gotten put at a store that was closer to my living situation. I rode a bike about 4 days a week there and back which totaled about 6 miles everyday. At first it was fun, but then it started becoming a nuisance especially when school started.

Advice

I would encourage others to looking into getting a job at QuikTrip if they just need a part-time job that doesn’t require any prior experience. While some people look down at working at a gas station, you can learn a lot from a simple job such as this.

I worked at different stores around the metroplex and was able to meet new people everyday with different life advice.

Pay for my dry es back home especially when I get sent to East Dallas or North Fort Worth and would have an hour drive home.

Advice

This job is super fun and laid back. The atmosphere is very low professional and coworkers are very easy to talk to and make work even more enjoyable.
