I loved assisting in the care and rehabilitation of wild animals. I learned how to detect injuries in new intakes, along with what is the best medicine to administer to them based on the injuries. In addition, this internship enabled me to gain the experience on how important native wildlife are to our ecosystems, which coincides with my major in Wildlife Conservation. Working at Pocono Wildlife Rehab and Education Center helped me gain interpersonal skills with the public, volunteers, and interns to ensure that the animals are treated for correctly and with the best care possible.
