What I wish was different
The summer project itself was relatively boring and also not useful. I was essentially remaking a pre-existing internal API in a different programming language, and so I didn't get to make any design decisions. In general, the software projects for summer interns are relatively small-scale, and I felt like they didn't accommodate any prior experience.
