This was a great hands-on experience with clients that gave me perspective on day-to-day life working in legal aid. There was also both opportunities for independent and group work.
What I wish was different
Everything about the content of the internship was great. I wouldn’t change a thing.
Advice
As an undergraduate student in this type of internship I needed to ask a lot more questions than the other law student interns. I was slightly intimidated by my lack of formal legal education at first. However, my supervisors were more than accommodating, so I would highly recommend asking questions to help your understanding of the whole process in general.
