I wish my schedule wouldve been more concrete and not so up in the air.

I would highly advise to get to know the parents before hand and understand how they raise and discipline their child and what they expect from them.

They provided me with gourmet food, treated me like family, and I went to really cool places like a dance convention and disneyland with a twist. They had a tour guide so we did not have to wait in line.
What I wish was different
That I came home to my family for at least the weekend. It was a live in for a month and I really missed them. I wish I also spoke arabic which made communication a lot more interesting than it was.

Be patient in everything that you do. Be observant and you will find similarities between cultures and be amazed how similar we all really are.

Nothing! It was great! We swam everyday and had the opportunity to do fun activities all the time. This job was what I made of it.

You have to be patient and forgiving when it comes to working with children. Additionally, bribery is the best way to get children to do things (1 yay stick for doing something good=fun treat at the end of the week)

Use your summer job to try out small sections of what you want to have a career in. I want to work with kids and being a nanny gives me a chance to see if it’s a good fit for me while also allowing me to receive a pay check.
