Sports Medicine Athletic Training Intern
September 2022 • Malibu, CA
What I liked
I love the environment, athletic training staff, and the opportunities to work on real patients. I liked learning and practicing modalities that will be useful in a variety of medical fields. I also liked how the athletic trainers took the time to teach us, quiz us, and prepare us for working sports events.
What I wish was different
The only thing I would've hoped for in this internship is more opportunities for certifications like CPR or others that might benefit our resume, but this is also not a common part of a lot of internships so I never really had this expectation.
Advice
Ask questions, get involved, and be ready to learn. You get the most out of this experience by what you put into it.
