Pearson

Test Administrator

April - August 2024 • West Des Moines, IA

What I liked

The atmosphere is quiet. The permanent employees were pleasant and helpful. There was an emphasis on working with scheduling and the ability to trade shifts if needed.

What I wish was different

I wish I had a better ability to juggle all the life changes in my life on top of working here and attending school full-time. Otherwise, I wouldn't change much about the role. It's a simple, straightforward position.

Advice

As long as you pay attention to detail and take your time following the steps for admission, everything will work out.

Brand Ambassador

April 2022 • New Brunswick, NJ

What I liked

This experience was great for professional and social development as well as gaining hands-on experience while still being a student.

What I wish was different

This position is fully remote and Zoom meetings are practical, but it would have been nice for some more face-to-face communication.

Advice

One piece of advice I would share for this opportunity, and internships in general, is that what you give to the experience is what you will get out of it. I had many chances for professional growth and I chose to be participatory which has helped me learn the most. I could have simply completed the assigned tasks, but I chose to be more involved which has made the experience more positive and worthwhile.
