I enjoyed learning Applied Behavior Analysis and working with children on the autism spectrum. It was a very informative and rewarding experience.
What I wish was different
I would’ve preferred that the system of assigning kids to therapists was more organized. Because of call outs and kids not coming to school, it was hard to keep therapists with the kids they were originally assigned to.
Advice
I would advise anyone going into this job to understand that it is mentally and emotionally demanding, and that your professionalism is important to the children’s growth. If you can’t handle the demands of the children, this is not the job for you.
