“This is a wonderful workplace and a great way to gain experience in the medical field. I have learned SO many invaluable skills here, such as scheduling, insurance billing, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, communication, as well as many others. The doctor creates a workplace that encourages learning and is very receptive to any questions that come up. Dr. Maz took plenty of time to teach me all the necessary skills (unlike some jobs that rushed through training) and was very patient. He explains things in an incredibly clear manner. Additionally, the patients here are kind and spend time getting to know you, making the office feel very relaxed, welcoming, and inviting. I would 10/10 recommend this job to all students, especially pre-medical (or pre-Chiropractic, pre-PA, etc) students who already have an interest in the medical field. This workplace is professional, respectful, and very accepting. I was incredibly surprised to read the other review of this office because it is SO FAR off from the experience I have had. The doctor has treated me, my coworkers, and all patients with respect. He is welcoming to individuals from all walks of life and all identities. I ensure you will feel like a valued team member here at this office. Even though I officially stopped working here in February 2021, I have maintained a great relationship with Dr. Maz and still come back to help out every now and then because of how much I loved this job. Lastly, Dr. Maz is very willing to work with you and your schedule when determining the hours. We were always able to work around things because I communicated efficiently, gave him a heads up, and was honest about my availability. If you are professional and effective with your communication (as is expected in any workplace) then there will be no issues when making sure you have the right number of hours for your schedule. ”
