What I liked

Throughout the 10-week structured internship program, I along with nine other interns were submerged into the insurance industry. I loved the meaningful work, tasks that challenged us, and the opportunity for continuous growth. We all participated in the Center for Insurance Agents & Brokers Summer school where we were able to learn more about the insurance industry. My favorite part of this internship was Oswald's culture because they are so inclusive that all interns felt right at home.

What I wish was different

I honestly loved my entire experience, so much that I returned to intern throughout the school year.

Advice

My one piece of advice for future interns is to be open and ready to learn. Most of my experience was learning and taking in new information. It does not matter that you do not know anything about insurance, all that matters is your willingness to learn.

Unfortunately, Covid forced us to work remotely and I didn’t really get to experience what working in the office was like.

No matter how many times you get denied or turned down from job offers, keep going! There’s a fit out there and it’s only a matter of time till you find each other.
