I loved being able to shadow attorneys, write court motions, and watch trials!

What I liked
Every single person in the office was welcoming and eager to get me involved in as much as I could. Even for being the lowest rung on the totem pole, they put a tremendous amount of trust in me and gave me a fair amount of responsibility.
What I wish was different
It would have been nice if there were more active trials to go to and help with, but that’s nothing they can control. It was an unpaid internship so that was somewhat of a burden, so I would have like some compensation.
Advice
My internship, like many others, is what you make of it. If you are constantly working hard and finishing projects, you show them your drive and they will give you more responsibility.

What I liked
I liked learning more about he Law and testing out criminal law as a potential future career.
What I wish was different
I wish there was more court cases and trials happening that I could have observed.
Advice
Put yourself out there and talk to every attorney you meet.
